Ray at Mermaid Ray Duffy, who plays lead guitar on out CD, is one of the pillars down at the Mermaid Inn, a great live music venue in Philly. The good folks at the Bucks County Folk Song Society have supported pickers and singers for decades. They're not flashy, but if you go to their meetings, be prepared to sing till the wee hours. To get hooked in with them go to "www.bucksfolk.org"

Steel City Steel City, is a great music spot in Phoenixville, PA about an hour northeast of Philly. Eileen hosts a songwriter's circle there every week, inhabited by freaks, who really know how to turn a phrase. They book top of the line acts on weekends for an affordable night out. Jake designed the sidewalks around the Unitarian Society of Germantown Society, the funkiest church you'll ever find in the heart of Mount Airy. They have a great pipe organ and ornate woodcarvings on the walls. They are at: "www.usguu.org"
